Sandwell College is looking for a passionate and industry-experienced Lecturer in Hair & Beauty to join our vibrant and growing Hair and Beauty department on a part-time 18.5 hours per week basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator or industry professional who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across Hair & Beauty programmes.
- Support students through tutorials, target setting, and progress reviews.
- Develop engaging lesson materials and learning activities.
- Monitor and promote student attendance, retention, achievement, and progression.
- Maintain accurate student records and course documentation.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement activities.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A degree and/or relevant professional qualification in Hair & Beauty or a related subject area, or willingness to work towards one.
- A Level 3 Beauty qualification.
- A teaching qualification (Certificate in Education or Level 5 Teaching Qualification) or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience of delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment within the Beauty sector.
- Experience of preparing engaging learning materials and supporting student achievement.
- Experience in the Beauty industry and/or teaching Beauty programmes.

If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£26,661 - £29,998).
