Hairdressing Lecturer
We are seeking an enthusiastic and industry-experienced Hairdressing Lecturer to join our vibrant Hair and Beauty team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and develop the next generation of hair professionals, delivering engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of hairdressing programmes.
You will plan and deliver innovative lessons, assess learner progress, and support students to achieve their qualifications while developing the professional skills required for a successful career in the hairdressing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across Hairdressing programmes.
- Develop and maintain high-quality learning resources and schemes of work.
- Assess learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Support students to achieve their full potential and progress into employment or further study.
- Maintain excellent standards of health and safety within practical salon environments.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employers and industry partners.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- A recognised Level 3 Hairdressing qualification or above.
- Recent and relevant industry experience within the hairdressing sector.
- A passion for teaching and developing others.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
Hours: 29.6 hours per week
Salary: £31,363 per annum FTE prorated to part-time (Qualified Teacher Status/equivalent Level 5)
