Lecturer in Sport & Public Services (Variable Hours)

Location: Lackham

Salary:

  • Unqualified: £21.13 per hour plus holiday pay
  • Qualified: £25.34 per hour plus holiday pay

Contract Type: Variable Hours

Hours offered as required during term time, with flexibility to support curriculum delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Sport and Public Services programmes across a range of vocational courses
  • Plan and deliver high-quality theory and practical sessions that develop learners' knowledge, skills, fitness, teamwork, and leadership abilities
  • Prepare learners for progression into higher education, apprenticeships, employment, and careers within the sport and public services sectors
  • Create a positive, safe, and motivating learning environment that promotes achievement and participation
  • Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and support learners to achieve their individual goals and qualifications
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to enhance curriculum delivery and enrichment opportunities
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, equality, diversity, and professional practice

What You'll Bring

  • A relevant qualification at Level 3 or above in Sport, Public Services, Physical Education, Coaching, Fitness, Uniformed Protective Services, or a related subject area
  • Industry experience within sport, fitness, coaching, uniformed services, community sport, or related sectors
  • Strong communication, organisational, and learner-support skills
  • A passion for vocational education and developing learners' confidence, skills, and career aspirations
  • Teaching qualifications are welcomed but not essential
