Lecturer in Veterinary Physiotherapy
£7,498 – £8,433 per annum (Based on an FTE of £37,489 – £42,169 per annum, minimum of 7.4 hours per week. Permanent)
About the Role
- The role involves the design and delivery of high-quality inclusive theoretical and practical teaching, tailored to learning outcomes for modules on the RAMP-accredited MSci Veterinary Physiotherapy and related topics.
- Providing student-focused academic personal tutoring, supported by on-campus centres including:
- The Achievement and Success Centre
- The Employability, Skills and Careers Team
- Planning, designing and delivering student assessments, followed by marking and moderation of work in alignment with Hartpury University’s quality assurance processes.
- Engaging in impactful research or equivalent scholarly activity to enhance teaching excellence, supporting both learning outcomes and the student experience.
About You
- You are a dynamic, professional, and experienced RAMP-registered Veterinary Physiotherapist with post-qualification industry experience.
- You hold a teaching qualification, or are willing to complete a teaching development programme.
- Demonstratable motivation, self-reliance, enthusiasm, and passion for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and student experiences within veterinary physiotherapy.
- Strong record of:
- Interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Time management and self-direction
- Preferable but not mandatory:
- Previous teaching or assessing/coaching experience
- Advantageous:
- Post-qualification/industry experience in the subject and research practice
- Evidence of research/scholarly engagement, with a willingness to contribute to and develop this within an academic setting.
