Remuneration: Academic Level B $133K- $156K (based on experience) + 17% Super + Annual Leave Loading
Location: Sydney, New South Wales.

Position Summary
This position may be appointed as either Education Focused (EF) or Teaching & Research (T&R), depending on the successful candidate’s profile and experience.
Teaching & Research
The Lecturer will contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of the Bachelor of Exercise Science/Master of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology program, with a particular focus on neurological rehabilitation and physiotherapy. The role combines excellence in teaching alongside an active research program, contributing to curriculum development, student learning, course coordination, and academic quality.
- Working within a collaborative academic environment, the Lecturer will undertake high-quality research that advances physiotherapy knowledge and clinical practice, while maintaining high standards of teaching quality and student engagement.
- This role also contributes to research funding and supervision and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and research translation to strengthen the School's research profile and impact.
Education Focused
UNSW's Education Focused (EF) roles enable academics to specialise in teaching and drive excellence in student learning. The Lecturer will contribute to the delivery of the Bachelor of Exercise Science/Master of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology program, with a focus on neurological rehabilitation and physiotherapy, delivering engaging, evidence-informed teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Key Skills Required
For Teaching & Research
- A PhD in Physiotherapy or other related health / medical disciplines
- Registration with AHPRA as a physiotherapist in Australia
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales).
- Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning (desirable).
- Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence as well as the capacity for research leadership.
For Education Focused
- A PhD in Physiotherapy or related disciplines or significant physiotherapy and/or education experience.
- Registration with AHPRA as a physiotherapist in Australia.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales)
- Clinical expertise in neurological rehabilitation and ability to translate to education programs
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and varied delivery methods
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning (desirable)
