We are looking for Cyber Security specialists to join us in a part-time or full-time capacity as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer within the Department of Computing and Mathematics.

The Role: Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security
As a member of the Computing and Mathematics team, you’ll design and deliver engaging, practical teaching for Levels 3–7 (from foundation to postgraduate), including our highly regarded cyber security degree apprenticeships.
What You’ll Do
- Teach modern cyber security practices, including:
- Ethical Hacking
- Malware Analysis & Reverse Engineering
- Information Security (InfoSec)
- Cryptography
- Secure Coding
- Threat Intelligence
- Work directly with apprentices in industry, integrating real-world challenges into the classroom
- Develop hands-on projects and coding-based learning experiences
- Help students build the skills employers actually need
- Collaborate with a team focused on innovation and student success
About You
We’re looking for passionate, experienced computing professionals who excel in mentoring and teaching, to join our Department of Computing and Mathematics.
You’ll Bring
- A genuine interest in mentoring, coaching, or teaching
- A desire to share your expertise and support student success
- Strong communication skills – the ability to simplify and teach complex technical ideas clearly
- Significant industry experience in cyber security (or)
- A PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- Retraceable career journey demonstrating expert-level knowledge in Cyber Security:
- Common roles may include:
- Security Analyst
- Penetration Tester / Ethical Hacker
- Cybersecurity Engineer
- Security Architect
- Mentor
- Common roles may include:
- Proven experience in addressing real-world cyber security challenges
