Lecturer Stringed Instruments

17.5 HOURS PER WEEK
PERMANENT

The Faculty of Future Technologies and Design within Glasgow Clyde College is currently seeking experienced individuals with a dynamic attitude to deliver courses within our department of Sound & Stringed Instruments. We are looking for professional, experienced luthiers as candidates who can teach; preparing & maintaining hand-tools, manufacturing instrument body & neck components, manufacturing inlays & sound-holes, instrument finishing and preparing electronics for pick-up equipped instruments – ranging from SCQF level 5 to level 8.

You will aid excellence in learning through the preparation and delivery of high-quality learning, teaching, and assessment materials and by supporting our learners.

Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, work to their own initiative, and relate well to different student groups. It is essential that you have obtained qualifications at SCQF Level 8, or relevant professional equivalent in the specialist area, or have significant relevant experience in the specialist area.

Salary: £41,833 - £50,359 per annum (pro rata)

Location: Anniesland Campus. You may be required to travel and work within all Glasgow Clyde campuses.
