About The Role

As a Lecturer in Travel and Tourism at Dover College, you will bring the exciting world of travel, tourism, and hospitality to life, delivering engaging and industry-relevant learning experiences that prepare students for successful careers.
You will teach, coach, and assess students across a range of learning environments, creating an inclusive and inspiring atmosphere where learners can thrive. Working closely with students, you will provide the guidance, encouragement, and support they need to achieve their full potential and progress confidently towards their career goals.

This position is 15 hours per week working Wednesdays and Fridays 8.30am - 17.00pm, with a salary of £14,639 up to £16,037. Giving you flexibility and excellent work-life balance!

Ideally, you’ll have experience teaching or delivering training in the workplace, although this isn’t essential as full training will be provided. You’ll be able to teach across Level 1 to Level 3 programs and motivate learners to achieve and succeed in their studies.

Please note that there are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Lecturers will normally move up to the highest salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete. (Lecturers must be in post by 1st September in any given year to qualify and this is subject to approval). Therefore, internal applicants in the same role may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification.
