About the Opportunity:

We are currently looking for two Lecturers in Psychology to join our Department of Psychology - UG to work in our Leeds Campus. In this role you will be required to contribute to the development and delivery of our programmes. You will:

  • Deliver excellent teaching, learning and support to our students.
  • Lead and develop modules, ensuring high-quality learning materials and curriculum development.
  • Design excellent digital teaching material ensuring that content and methods of delivery meet defined learning objectives.
  • Undertake assessment marking, design authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.
  • Manage your own teaching activity and reflect on practice and development of skills, with support/guidance as needed.
  • Undertake administrative activities to support teaching and learning activities.
  • Actively contribute to School level activity.

About You:

To be successful as a Lecturer in Psychology you will need:

  • An MSc or equivalent qualification in Psychology, with Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Experience in teaching, learning, assessment, dissertation supervision, and pastoral care practices in Higher Education.
  • A track record of successfully contributing to programme teams and being an inspiring and creative lecturer.
  • AdvanceHE Recognition - FHEA or willing to achieve within 12-18 months.
  • We encourage applications from those with experience in teaching across the required BPS curriculum and topics related to clinical/counselling/mental health.
