Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Opportunities
The University of Law Business School provides industry-accredited degrees (CMI, CIM, APM, CIPD, and ACCA) including Business Management, Marketing, HR, Finance, and Accounting. Designed specifically with employability in mind.
We are currently looking for Lecturer/Senior Lecturers to join our academic team in our centrally located Birmingham campus.
Areas of Interest
We are looking to hear from applicants with specialisms including:

- HRM
- Management & General Business skills
Ideally, candidates should have experience in the Higher Education sector, particularly with the Harvard Case Method and online simulation.
Role Overview
Reporting to our Academic Manager, you will be providing tuition across the University of Law Business School course portfolio. These will include delivering postgraduate and undergraduate BSc courses to a high standard.
You will enjoy being challenged (by students and course content in equal measure) and be able to adapt to the different learning styles of students and methods of course delivery. You will be eager to share your expertise, and the role will include marking in-course assignments and final assessments, as well as supporting students and dealing with queries.
Key Responsibilities
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at The University of Law Business School, you will:
- Teach and assess across the University of Law Business School course portfolio in subjects as may be assigned to you. This will include teaching and assessing students across a range of written and presentation skills and giving individual feedback on students’ performances.
- Assist in the preparation of assignments and assessments.
- Participate in course design and review.
- Act as an academic coach to students, including being available and willing to discuss students’ problems as they arise, their performance, and academic progression.

Essential Requirements
Lecturer Positions
As a Lecturer at The University of Law Business School, you must possess excellent communication, presentation, planning, and prioritisation skills. We are looking for an analytical problem solver who communicates complex information effectively, manages competing priorities, and works collaboratively or independently to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
- Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards*.
- Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE*
- Sufficient breadth and depth of professional experience in the relevant discipline to develop teaching programmes and learning support.
Please note that if you do not currently hold this, it is a requirement of the University that you will enroll into the programme (delivered and financially supported by the University), usually within 12 months of passing probation. Successful completion/qualification is essential to this role.
Senior Lecturer Requirements
- Master’s degree (in Business and/or Management) or professional qualifications.
- Fellowship of the HEA and Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PgCHE) as well as extensive relevant experience.
- Teaching in a Higher Education setting or an educational establishment.
- Significant expertise in the application and practical delivery of a range of teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring colleagues, assessments and marking, team leadership.
