Governance and Quality Enhancement
Grade 8: £44,746 - £56,535 (with progression possible to £63,606)
Hours: 35.75 hours per week (1FTE)

This post supports a number of key areas of corporate governance, ensuring that the University remains compliant with current and emerging legislation. The successful candidate will be the University's designated Data Protection Officer, and will provide effective counsel in relation to specific internal regulations, policies and procedures, including Complaints, Student Discipline and Fitness to Practice. They will also provide a proficient secretariat to designated senior committees of the University as directed by the University Secretary.

Qualifications:
- A law degree.
- Minimum of three years' Post Qualifying Experience.
- Expertise in, and understanding of, data protection laws and practices, including GDPR.
- Excellent written, verbal, and inter-personal communication skills.
- Ability to make judgments independently and to provide effective advice and recommendation.
Desirable:
- Knowledge and experience of Higher Education policy.
- Experience of dispute resolution.
- Experience of delivering training activities.
