M by Mariah Legal is seeking an experienced and dedicated Legal Aid Solicitor to join our growing family law team on a fully remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a strong background in public law children matters who is passionate about representing parents and family members in care proceedings and Public Law Outline (PLO) matters.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of legally aided family matters, including:
- Public Law Outline (PLO) pre-proceedings.
- Care and supervision proceedings.
- Emergency protection matters.
- Interim care order and final hearing advocacy (where appropriate).
- Working closely with clients, counsel, experts, and local authorities.
- Maintaining Legal Aid Agency compliance and high standards of client care.

About You
Applicants should have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
- Experience conducting legally aided public children law matters.
- A sound understanding of Legal Aid Agency regulations and CCMS.
- Excellent case management, advocacy, and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Membership of the Law Society Children Panel is desirable but not essential. Applications from solicitors working towards accreditation are also welcomed.
