Datalaw is a leading training provider for legal professionals and apprentices, supporting them throughout their educational journey and beyond into further accreditations and career development.

Job Opportunity

We are currently looking for experienced apprenticeship coaches to join our team. The successful candidates will contribute to the delivery of our Apprenticeship in the Legal Sector by providing training and support to our learners in the legal industry, teaching/coaching levels 3 - 7.

Requirements

Candidates are required to hold a Level 6 qualification in Law or Legal services.

Your Role

  • Managing 40 - 50 learners throughout their learning journey on the paralegal apprenticeship.
  • Responsible for carrying out monthly learning following a structured curriculum across a variety of areas of law.
  • Cover apprenticeship fundamentals including safeguarding, British values, health and safety, along with monitoring of learner wellbeing.
  • Carry out progress reviews as per the learners' training plan with learners and employers, addressing any issues and planning individualized learning to meet their needs.
  • Responsible for recording and documenting how learners apply their newly acquired skills and knowledge in their day-to-day roles including maintaining the OTJ log.
  • Set clear objectives to support their timely progression in line with the curriculum, identifying slow progress and putting targets in place for timely completion.
  • Complete new learner inductions on a monthly basis and liaise with the onboarding team to facilitate this.
  • Support learners through their learning journey to successful completion of their EPA.
  • Review and provide feedback on portfolio completion that will support the achievement of the final EPA assessments.
  • Regularly communicate and meet your line manager on a monthly basis to complete a caseload review.
  • Proactively communicate with the delivery team to ensure learner support & progression.
  • Maintain all the documentation to meet ESFA and Ofsted requirements including reporting non-attendance and punctuality.

About You

  • Experienced in the delivery of apprenticeships and/or teaching within the legal sector.
  • Hold a Level 3 or above teaching qualification.
  • Knowledge of Apprenticeship funding regulations.
  • Excellent organisational skills to coordinate learners' training plans and ensure they attend the relevant workshops and sessions.
  • Learn and understand the paralegal curriculum; in-house training will be provided to prepare you fully for the role.

Experience of working with apprenticeships for at least 3 years is preferred with a strong background in facilitating apprentices to completion. Teaching of law Level 3 or above in any educational setting will be considered as an equivalent to apprenticeship experience.

You must be driven, organised, and able to manage a demanding job role to help individuals further their career. We are looking for someone that is ambitious and can share their expertise.

  • 3 years' experience within Apprenticeships and/or teaching experience
  • Knowledge of DfE funding
  • Level 3 or above teaching qualification
  • A desire to support and develop young people and adults
  • Attention to detail
  • Competent in the use of IT - Teams and Zoom
