Legal Assistant
Location: Watford (Hybrid – 3 days office based and 2 days working from home)
Salary: Competitive + Benefits

The Role
The Legal Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations and work closely with the General Counsel and Legal Team. You will provide administrative and legal support across a broad range of activities, including contract management, legal research, corporate governance and compliance matters.

The ideal candidate will be inquisitive, detail-focused with excellent communication skills and would thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and legal support to the General Counsel and Legal department
- Assist with the preparation, formatting and proofreading of commercial contracts and legal documents
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including Sales, Operations and Compliance teams to gather information and support legal matters
- Conduct legal research and assist with legal projects as required
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems and legal documentation
- Support contract lifecycle management processes, including contract tracking and signature coordination
- Assist with privacy and data protection matters, including GDPR-related activities
- Support the maintenance of corporate governance records and company documentation
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required by the Legal Team and management
Skills & Experience
- Previous administration experience within a legal environment is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Professional, reliable and able to handle confidential information appropriately
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the business
- A proactive approach with a genuine interest in learning and developing within an in-house legal department
