Role Description
This full-time Legal Assistant role at DM Legal is an on-site position based in London. The Legal Assistant will support lawyers with day-to-day case management, including preparing, formatting, and organizing legal documents and correspondence.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining case files
- Scheduling appointments and hearings
- Managing calendars
- Coordinating meetings with clients and external parties
- Conducting basic legal research
- Tracking deadlines
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and court requirements
The role also involves handling routine administrative tasks and contributing to a collaborative, client-focused office environment.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge of law and legal processes, with an understanding of common practice areas relevant to the firm.
- Strong skills in legal document preparation and document management, including drafting, proofreading, and formatting legal paperwork.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in administrative assistance, including calendar management, filing systems (digital and physical), and general office support.
- Practical experience or training as a legal assistant or in a similar legal support role.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Competence with standard office software and legal practice management tools; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Relevant education such as a legal assistant/paralegal qualification or a degree in law or a related field is preferred.
