Legal Assistant - Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence

Hours

  • Monday to Friday from 9:30am - 5.30pm (full time, 35 hours per week)

We are seeking a confident, self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team full time, based in our Putney office.

The Role

Whilst working primarily under one of the Partners, you will generally assist the busy and successful department on a variety of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence cases. Your work will include actively managing a small case load of cases and supporting senior colleagues on more complex matters, including drafting legal documents, instructions, court bundles and schedules. You will be undertaking chargeable work as a fee earner with a personal time and fee target and non-chargeable work that may include, but is not limited to, preparing reports for clients, providing assistance with marketing activities and undertaking appropriate training.

Technical Skills And Expertise

  • Law Graduate and/or working towards.
  • Experience within an office environment or law firm is a must.
  • You will be expected to be largely self-supporting in regard to typing and administration and you will demonstrate excellent IT and keyboard skills in addition to literacy, numeracy and attention to detail.
  • You will manage multiple files to strict deadlines and will require strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are essential to demonstrate understanding of our clients’ needs and expectations and when communicating with colleagues.
  • You will be an excellent team player and contribute to the success of the team.
