Role: Legal Assistant - Wills, Trusts & Probate
Location: Skipton
Salary: £25,000- £28,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours - Flexible working pattern
Our award-winning legal client who boast various office locations within the region are seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Assistant, to join their team in Skipton. Supporting the Wills, Trusts and Probate Lawyers.
This role demands self-management, initiative, and the ability to handle a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities - Legal Assistant (Wills, Trusts & Probate)
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Wills, Trusts & Probate team.
- Prepare correspondence, legal documents, and forms using audio typing, word processing software, online portals, and case management systems.
- Communicate with clients professionally and empathetically, both in person and over the telephone, always delivering excellent client care.
- Open, maintain, and manage client files in accordance with firm procedures, ensuring accurate filing and document management.
- Handle sensitive client and firm information with complete confidentiality and professionalism.
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the department by managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Participate in relevant training and development activities to maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills.

Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant, within Wills, Trusts & Probate
- Strong typing and audio typing skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, case management systems, and online legal portals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a compassionate and professional approach to client interactions.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload effectively.
- Able to work collaboratively within a team environment while also using initiative to work independently.
- Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of client service.
