Your New Role

A Legal Biller opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join a busy Revenue Control team within the Finance function.

This is a process-driven role, ideal for someone who:

  • Thrives in fast-paced legal environments
  • Enjoys taking ownership of end-to-end billing activities

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing the full billing lifecycle, including:

  • Producing and reviewing invoices
  • Running and amending proformas
  • Processing:
    • Credit notes
    • Write-offs
    • Transfers
  • Ensuring billing data is accurately maintained on client and matter files

Collaborative work will entail:

  • Close partnership with partners, fee earners, legal support staff, and finance colleagues
  • Ensuring billing instructions are followed accurately and compliant with regulatory requirements

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Recent experience as a Legal Biller or similar billing role within a law firm or legal services environment (Essential)
  • Strong knowledge of legal billing processes and financial administration
  • Experience using Elite 3E (Essential)
    • e-Billing experience (Advantageous)
  • Good understanding of:
    • HMRC rules
    • SRA rules
  • Excellent attention to detail and methodical working approach
  • Sound organisational skills, including:
    • Managing multiple priorities
    • Meeting deadlines
  • Confident communicator, skilled in:
    • Effective stakeholder engagement at all levels
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with:
    • Independent working capabilities
    • Ability to collaborate in teams

Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, with expertise in Excel
