Legal Cashier - 10-Month Fixed-Term Contract

FTC Legal Cashier – 10-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Full-Time or 4 Days/Week)

About the Role

We are seeking a Dedicated Legal Cashier to provide administration and operational support within our core cashiering team. Based in London, this 10-month fixed-term contract (FTC) requires flexible working (either 4 days a week or full-time).

The role involves:

  • Admin and coordination support for the Legal Cashier department
  • Integrated work within a team of four, delivering high-quality service to our firm
  • Training on key systems: SAP (practice management) and Chrome River (expenses/invoicing platform)

Successful candidates will prove exceptional organisational skills, communication prowess, and a proactive approach—ensuring seamless operations while maintaining the firm’s elevated service standards.

Reporting and Accounting

  • Manages internal and external reporting, including:
    • Strategic planning & budgeting
    • Management & statutory accounts
    • Tax work

Finance Operations

  • Oversees daily cash flow operations such as:
    • Billing & collections
    • Cash management & treasury
    • Client monies management

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Assist linked service centres (Manila and Belfast)

Payment Processing

  • Handle multi-currency transfers, including foreign counsel fees (liaising with overseas offices)
  • Review & approve office and client account disbursements via an online banking platform

Reconciliation & Partner Liaison

  • Collaborate with the IP Tech Team for fixed-fee account reconciliation (covering UKIPO, WIPO & EUIPO)
  • Support across additional cashiering duties as required

Reporting & Audit Support

  • Chase unallocated Chrome River credit card expenses
  • Complete ad hoc tasks including charitable collections and departure payments

Key Skills & Requirements

Entry Criteria

  • 280+ UCAS points (equivalents accepted)
