About the Role

We are working with a well-established professional services organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced Legal Cashier to join its finance team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of legal cashiering and the SRA Accounts Rules to join a supportive team, playing a key role in the accurate processing of financial transactions across UK and international operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process client and office account payments and receipts, including CHAPS, BACS, Faster Payments and foreign transactions.
  • Ensure all cashiering activities are completed accurately and in line with SRA Accounts Rules and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Manage client money transactions, including deposits, interest calculations and client balance reviews.
  • Respond to finance and matter-related queries from colleagues across the business.
  • Support finance projects, process improvements and the testing of new systems.

You will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier, with at least two years' relevant experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules and VAT regulations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload accurately.
  • Confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
