I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Cashier to join a busy and expanding finance team within a well-established law firm.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment and takes pride in maintaining accuracy, compliance, and high standards of financial administration.
The Role
You'll play a key role in supporting the Finance Director and wider finance team, ensuring the smooth running of the firm's accounting function. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing client and office account receipts and payments
- Ensuring compliance with AML requirements and SRA Accounts Rules
- Processing card payments and bank transfers
- Completing bank reconciliations and petty cash reconciliations
- Processing bills and maintaining the purchase ledger
- Assisting with month-end reporting
- Applying the firm's Client Interest Policy
- Monitoring and resolving residual balances
- Handling finance queries and supporting the wider team

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier is essential
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations and SRA Accounts Rules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
