Legal Cashier (Remote)

Location: Remote (UK)
Department: Finance / Accounts
Reports to: Head of Cashiering

I am currently working for a well-established law firm looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join a busy and supportive Accounts team at a modern, forward-thinking law firm. Key Responsibilities

  • Process disbursement payments, including client ledger postings, invoicing, fund transfers, and reconciliations using Xero.
  • Manage payments relating to Infotrack, HM Land Registry, HMCTS Court Fees, Companies House, and other legal service providers.
  • Review and reconcile matter balances, client balances, and supplier invoices.
  • Process client-to-office and office-to-client transfers where appropriate.
  • Verify and authorize high-value and international payments in line with firm procedures.
  • Protect and release client funds within Actionstep as required.
  • Process partner expenses and credit notes in accordance with firm policies.
  • Monitor incoming client funds and respond promptly to fee earner enquiries.
  • Investigate and resolve accounts queries, providing clear ledger explanations where required.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure full compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Support the wider Accounts team with additional cashiering duties as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
