Legal Cashier
A leading law firm is seeking a Legal Cashier to join its friendly and close-knit finance team based in Norwich, Norfolk. The role is office-based, with flexibility offered where appropriate.

You will play a key role in supporting the firm’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SARs) and maintaining accurate client and office account records.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily reconciliation of client and office bank accounts
- Processing incoming monies via online banking and allocating funds accurately
- Managing outgoing payments via electronic transfer or cheque in line with firm policies and SARs
- Checking and processing bills
- Monitoring client balances and liaising with fee earners to clear residual balances post-completion
- Transferring costs and disbursements as required
- Taking client card payments over the phone
- Providing financial support and responding to queries from fee earners and support staff
- Logging incoming cheques and ensuring correct posting procedures
- Reporting breaches or discrepancies to senior accounts management
- Supporting general finance administration and ad hoc duties as required

Person Specification
- Experience working with legal cashiering or client accounting systems
- Strong reconciliation and financial administration skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional, friendly, and client-focused approach
- Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
