Legal Cashiering at Woodstock
Our Accounts team handles financial operations that keep the business running smoothly, including consultant payments, invoicing, compliance, reconciliations, and reporting. They collaborate closely with teams across the firm to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. The team is led by Head of Accounts Ellie Emery, who oversees daily processes and supports consultants with finance-related queries.
Legal Cashier Role Overview
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-focused Legal Cashier to support our legal finance function, with a focus on property transactions and completions. You’ll help ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and manage day-to-day financial operations.
This is a hands-on role for someone with prior experience in legal cashiering or conveyancing finance, eager to develop their skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing client and office account receipts and payments
- Managing a high volume of property transactions and completions end-to-end
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Ensuring transactions are accurate and compliant with SRA Accounts Rules
- Monitoring financial processes to align with internal controls and regulations

What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience in legal cashiering (preferably in property transactions/completions)
- Hybrid working commitment, based in our office in Poole, Dorset
- Excellent knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules
- Strong organisation and time-management skills with an eye for detail
- Experience with legal accounting software
- Maintains clear, professional communication (written and verbal)
