Position
Legal Expert — Compliance / Regulatory (Contract)
Benefits & Conditions
- Location: Remote
- Compensation: $100–$150/hour
- Commitment: 15–40+ hours/week
- Start: Immediately; applications reviewed on a rolling basis
Role Responsibilities
- Design realistic regulatory scenarios, including:
- AML/SAR preparation
- OFAC screening
- FCPA assessments
- Other compliance-focused challenges
- Craft "golden" reference responses at attorney-level quality to train AI models.
- Grade AI-generated responses using structured legal compliance rubrics.
- Provide detailed written feedback to the research team to refine model behavior and accuracy.
- Participate in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions for improved collaboration.

Qualifications
Must-Have
✅ 1–4 years of professional experience in regulatory or compliance law. ✅ A J.D. (U.S./Canada), LL.B./LL.M. from an accredited law school. ✅ Active or inactive U.S. law license. ✅ Expertise in:
- AML/BSA compliance
- OFAC sanctions screening
- FCPA investigations
- Healthcare regulations
- FDA submissions
- Privacy laws
- Environmental permitting
- Export control
- Administrative hearings ✅ Excellent written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Preferred
civiles:
- CIPP, CFE, CAMS or equivalent.
- Experience in internal compliance investigations.
- Knowledge of drafting compliance training programs.
- Familiarity with regulatory portals (FDA, federalregister.gov, NLRB.gov, EEOC guidelines).
