In exciting partnership with Wood, a globally recognised leader in engineering, advisory and operational solutions, we are seeking a newly qualified (NQ) to pre-qualified experienced (PQE) solicitor to reinforce our award-winning Eastern Hemisphere Legal team as Legal Counsel.
Position Overview
- Office Location: Remote or hybrid setup with Reading or Aberdeen office presence
- Role Type: Trusted advisor role with a global impact, supporting legal requirements across 60+ countries in regions including:
- UK & Europe
- Middle East, Africa and CIS
- APAC
About the Role
This position is focused on delivering top-notch, commercial, timely, and cost-effective legal advice to address matters with potential or existing legal or reputational risk. Your work will drive strategic priorities for Wood through proactive risk and cost management:
- You will advise on an extensive range of multi-jurisdictional legal specialisations, including:
- Litigation and disputes
- Contract and project support (EPC/EPCm +)
- Joint ventures
- Employment law
- Real estate
- Corporate establishment
- Regulatory/compliance issues

Required Skills and Experience
- Solicitor license with experience between 0-3 years (NQ to PQE)
- Ability to provide clear, commercial legal advice with an emphasis on results (efficient, risk-aware, and solution-focused)
- Experience giving sound counsel in contracts, disputes, regulatory compliance, or field-specific law (sustainable energy, project management, etc.)
- Strong ability to negotiate and advise on high-value business deals
