Legal Counsel
12-month Fixed Term Contract | London | Hybrid
Accuflex is working with a leading organisation to recruit Legal Counsel for a 12-month fixed term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a transactional finance lawyer to join a friendly, collaborative and highly regarded legal team. The role will suit someone who enjoys working on complex finance matters, is confident navigating detailed documentation, and is comfortable taking ownership of work with a good level of autonomy.
The successful candidate will work across a varied mix of finance-related legal matters, with a focus on transactional work. You will be supported by a collegiate team and will work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
The role
The work is expected to include a broad range of finance and transactional matters, including:
Banking transactions
Asset finance
Project finance
LMA-style finance documentation
Transactional amendments and related advisory work
Finance products and associated legal issues

Broader commercial and regulatory support where required
External counsel may be involved on certain matters, but this role requires someone who can understand the documentation, review legal positions, manage input from advisers and help move matters forward effectively.
The ideal candidate
We are keen to speak with qualified lawyers who have strong transactional finance experience, good knowledge of LMA documentation and are comfortable working with detailed finance documentation.
Relevant backgrounds may include:
Project finance
Asset finance
Banking
Trade and export finance
Corporate lending or syndicated lending
LMA-based finance transactions
The role is likely to suit someone with solid post-qualification experience, although candidates will be considered where they have the right technical background.

A qualified lawyer with strong finance transaction experience
Comfortable reviewing and working with lengthy finance documents
Able to manage multiple matters at once

Working arrangements
This is a 12-month fixed term contract based in London, with hybrid working. The organisation offers a positive, open and sociable culture, with a strong emphasis on mutual respect, collaboration and team engagement.
Candidates will need the right to work in the UK. The role will also be subject to appropriate pre-employment and clearance checks.
