We're looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join the European Legal team of an Insurtech on a 12 months fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad range of legal, regulatory, commercial, insurance, and data protection matters.

Key duties will include:

  • Advising on insurance policy interpretation, regulatory compliance, contractual obligations, and operational matters.
  • Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements with suppliers and other third parties that support the distribution of their insurance products and related services.
  • Reviewing and updating customer-facing documentation, including terms and conditions, policy summaries, IPIDs, and other pre-contractual documents.
  • Providing legal and regulatory advice on customer journeys, claims processes, new products, business initiatives, and operational changes.
  • Supporting data protection and privacy compliance activities, including DPIAs, records of processing, data subject rights requests, third-party data requests, and privacy-related enquiries.

The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with 4 years' PQE+ with insurance or financial services experience. Strong experience across commercial contracts, regulatory matters, and compliance is essential. You must possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
