About The Role
We’ve got an opportunity in our London office for a qualified legal professional to join us on a 12 month fixed term basis, providing trusted legal advice to our commercial teams and contributing to new products and initiatives - no two days will be the same!
You’ll have an interest in a varied commercial legal workload, with strong drafting and negotiating skills, and the ability to apply them independently to drive the business forward and create real value.
Alongside the core legal counsel duties, you'll be identifyingopportunities to drive productivity in our legal processes through the use of AI tooling. You’ll then roll-out improvements to the broader legal team and legal stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing
Working with our business teams to draft, negotiate, and execute commercial agreements Identify processes within the legal function and its interface with the business where AI tooling or other technology could improve productivity or quality, and lead their implementation Providing day-to-day legal perspective and guidance, as well as risk assessment and mitigation Advising our business teams on compliance with data protection and e-privacy laws Work with colleagues across the legal team and wider business to embed new ways of working, including supporting adoption, training, and measuring impact.

Essential
What we're looking for
1 to 5 years’ post-qualification experience in-house or at a commercial or corporate law firm with experience providing full-service commercial legal support (the reference to PQE is a guide only. We welcome applications from candidates with more or less PQE) Demonstrable experience of implementing AI tooling and a passion for transforming legal processes An experience and appreciation of the challenges and requirements of delivering legal support in a fast-moving commercial in-house team Ability to be impactful from an early stage Qualified to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales (or another common law jurisdiction) Proven technical ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements to tight timescales Experience of advising on IT, data protection/e-privacy laws as well as commercial and law.
Desirable:
Knowledge of intellectual property, competition law and regulated sector experience Knowledge of the insurance and/or financial services Experience of Harvey, Luminance or Legora.
