Legal Counsel
Legal Business Partner – Global eCommerce (EU & UK)
Type: Fixed-term contract/secondment, ~6 months Location: London, UK (hybrid – 3 days/week in office) Start date: ASAP (July 2026)
About the Role
A global technology company’s eCommerce legal team is looking for a Legal Business Partner to support compliance matters across the EU and UK, including obligations under the Digital Services Act (DSA), Digital Markets Act (DMA), GDPR, and related national laws. This role partners with product, engineering, and business teams on:

Requirements
- Mid-level lawyer, qualified in the UK or EU
- Strong expertise in EU legislation and national laws, with a deep grounding in one or more of the following:
- Data protection/privacy
- Antitrust
- Consumer protection
- IP
- Experience advising on:
- Product compliance
- Data compliance
- Platform compliance in a tech or eCommerce environment is highly preferred
- The ability to clearly distil complex legal issues into practical guidance for business stakeholders
- Independent working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Collaboration with regulatory, privacy, IP, and competition legal teams
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
