An exciting opportunity for a Legal Counsel / Commercial Solicitor to join a fast-growing global business services organisation in Bradford.

Working as part of a collaborative in-house legal team, you'll advise on a broad range of commercial contracts while supporting the continued growth of an innovative, technology-led business.

Description

The Legal Counsel will be:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements including supplier, consultancy, framework, IT, software and service contracts.
  • Providing commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders on contractual and business matters.
  • Identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks while ensuring compliance with governance processes.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of legal templates, processes and contract management frameworks.
  • Delivering legal training and guidance to colleagues whilst helping drive process improvements across the business.

Profile

The Legal Counsel should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with 2+ years' PQE gained within private practice or an in-house legal team.
  • Experienced in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Able to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to a range of stakeholders.
  • Comfortable managing multiple matters in a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Possess strong communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of procurement, risk allocation frameworks or property-related contracts would be advantageous but is not essential.

  • Working Model: Hybrid working (typically 2 days per week in the office)
