About The Role
ENSEK is seeking a third lawyer to join the ENSEK Legal Team, reporting to the Head of Legal. This role will play an important part in supporting the business and enabling its ambitious growth plans through the provision of clear, pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice. This is an opportunity to help shape how legal support is delivered across the business - working closely with senior stakeholders and helping to drive continuous improvement in legal processes to support the business’ growth plans.
We are looking for a UK qualified lawyer with at least 3 years post-qualification experience in commercial law, with demonstrated experience negotiating complex contracts - ideally in a technology or SaaS environment. Strong working knowledge of data protection and UK GDPR is also preferred. The successful candidate must have the ability to balance risk management with commercial pragmatism, and thrive in a fast-moving technology business.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing clear, pragmatic advice to internal stakeholders and advising on contract risks, legal and compliance obligations and other miscellaneous queries handled by the legal team.
- Helping design and implement new legal processes and workflows, including supporting the transition to more automated systems to improve efficiency. This includes working closely with our teams to enhance the use of technology in legal and commercial workflows.
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on a range of commercial contracts including NDAs, heads of terms, MSAs, Framework Agreements, customer contracts, supplier contracts, DPAs, partnering arrangements and reseller arrangements. This includes up-sells, variations and terminations.
- Applying ENSEK’s contract playbook(s) when drafting and negotiating legal contracts and identifying deviations that require additional internal approvals, and supporting the introduction of additional contract playbooks.
- Supporting ENSEK’s contract management processes (including business readiness and approval processes) and the management of the legal team’s central documentation repository.
- Providing support in relation to documenting specifications and requirements suitable to be included in a contract.
- Advising on new supplier contracts and supporting ENSEK’s supplier due diligence and on-boarding processes.
- Managing ENSEK's pre-litigation handling of disputes, including information gathering, providing initial internal opinions and supporting the preparation of without prejudice responses, offers and commercial settlements.
- Instructing and managing external legal advisers (where applicable), including management of deadlines and budget.
- Advising on data protection and supporting ENSEK’s DPO.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
