Legal Counsel

Commercial Legal Counsel (2–4 PQE)

✅ 📍 Location: London (Hybrid) ✅ 💰 Rate: £399–£599 per day (PAYE) ✅ 📅 Contract: Initial 12-Month Contract

We're partnering with one of the world’s most recognised technology companies to recruit a Commercial Legal Counsel to join its high-performing EMEIA legal team.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially-minded lawyer looking to develop—or further enhance—their in-house legal career within a global technology business. You'll work alongside experienced lawyers, supporting the commercial sales organisation while advising on complex commercial matters. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to drive strategic legal outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Advising sales and operational teams on a broad range of commercial legal matters.
  • Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements covering:
    • Sales
    • Distribution
    • Marketing
    • After-sales services
  • Providing practical, solutions-focused legal advice to business stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Managing legal support for 2-3 business groups, with increasing autonomy over time.
  • Building strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to help drive commercial outcomes.
  • Contributing to the development of cutting-edge AI-powered legal tools, including:
    • Improving contract review accuracy.
    • Testing new legal AI functionality.
    • Supporting initiatives to enhance AI in legal.

Requirements & Fit

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2–4 years’ PQE (exceptional candidates with up to 6 years’ experience considered).
  • Training from a respected regional, national, or City law firm.
  • Demonstrated strong commercial contracts experience, gained in private practice or in-house.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, self-starting individual who can work independently with confidence.
