Job Description
We are looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our in-house team with strong communication skills. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of legal matters, work closely with the business, and play a hands-on role in shaping how legal supports a growing international company.
This position is suited to a proactive and detail-oriented lawyer who is comfortable working independently, taking accountability, and driving continuous improvement in legal processes and documentation.
What You’ll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS/software licensing, partnerships, and supplier contracts
- Act as a key legal contact for business stakeholders, providing clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused advice
- Take ownership of legal support for designated business areas
- Identify and implement improvements to legal processes, workflows, and ways of working
- Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and internal guidance
- Collaborate with a multi-jurisdictional legal team
- Manage external counsel and support disputes where required
- Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments in the gaming and technology sectors
- Support strategic business initiatives, including new product development

Qualifications & Requirements
- 4-6 years PQE (post qualification experience) as a solicitor, advocate or equivalent required – this is a guideline so if you feel that you are suitable, please still apply
- Strong grounding in commercial and contract law
- Experience in the gaming industry/software development industry is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage priorities
- Experience improving legal processes, templates, or ways of working is highly desirable
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to provide practical, business-focused advice in a clear and concise manner
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively across different jurisdictions and cultures
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and interest in the gaming/technology space

Legal Technology & Innovation
- Experience working with legal technology tools (e.g. CLM systems, document automation) is advantageous
- Interest in leveraging AI and legal technology to improve legal service delivery and efficiency is desirable
