**Associate/Senior Associate Solicitor – Legal Affairs

About the Role
You’ll join a small, collaborative, and highly impactful legal team operating under a partnering model, offering autonomy, ownership, and broad engagement across legal, governance, and risk functions.
As the primary legal partner to key business areas—puzzles & energy communities, subscription services, and product/technology teams—you will:
- Provide pr-driven legal advice supporting business objectives while overseeing risk management and governance.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, advise on legal/regulatory compliance, and develop policies/processes.
- Engage with external counsel when needed.

The role is based in Dundee with a flexible hybrid model (1–2 days/week office-based).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver commercially focused legal advice with a pr-sensitive, solutions-oriented approach.
- Handle contract negotiations (supply agreements, consumer contracts, tech digital products).
- Manage legal and governance risks across diverse business functions.
- Collaborate with external counsel as required.
- Support policy & process development while ensuring compliance.
Requirements & Qualifications
- UK qualified solicitor (c.³+ years’ PQE), ideally from private practice or in-house (flexible for relevant alternative experience).
- Strong commercial legal expertise in:
- drafting/negotiating supply/consensus contracts (goods, services, digital platforms).
- IP law, data protection/compliance (GDPR, etc.).
- Awareness of AI/data governance considerations within business contexts.
- Commercial acumen with a prament-effective leadership style.
- Exceptional relationship-building & negotiation skills across all business levels.
- Resilience in fast-paced environments with flexible prioritisation.
- Experience with AI tools for legal delivery (advantageous but open to other expertise).
- Exposure to media/TMT sectors (helpful but not required).
