Leading international financial services organisation has a unique opportunity for a Construction & Projects Lawyer to join their in-house Legal team based in Glasgow.
Role Profile:
The role is a Assistant Vice President (AVP) level and you will work as part of the Global Commercial, Innovation and Technology Legal team which provides a range of legal services and advice at the cutting edge of law, innovation and regulation.
Candidate Requirements:
- Familiarity with industry-standard construction and consultancy contracting models, including framework-based procurement structures.
- Dynamic and solutions-focused senior qualified lawyer in the UK with relevant post-qualification experience (in-house and/or private practice).
- Experience advising on and managing legal risk arising in compliance with organisational policies and standards, including advising on ways to embed better risk management across the organisation.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload, partnering with a variety of stakeholders, including Procurement and Capital Projects and Technology teams and front-line business teams.
- Be a team player and work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the objectives of the legal function and broader organisation.
- Ideally, but not essentially, experience advising Corporate Real Estate, Capital Projects, Procurement and related functions on the procurement and delivery of complex construction, workplace, facilities and real estate projects, including the negotiation of consultant, contractor and framework agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience advising on a range of commercial and/or technology agreements - supplier, client and partner facing – including, software licenses, hardware and software maintenance, SaaS and cloud services, sponsorship, professional services, data and index licensing and PoCs.
- Have an understanding of legal rules and regulations impacting service provision at to a financial services institution, such as outsourcing, ring-fencing, the appointed representative regime, operational continuity in resolution, or other relevant experience with a financial services institution.
