Rare opportunity for a litigator to join established legal team of market leading business

Staffordshire based with hybrid working. We are keen to hear from disputes lawyer with 2 - 5 PQE (or equivalent).

Arbuthnot Yon is working with a regulated business which operates across the UK and is a leader in its field with c400,000 customers and a turnover of c£800million. The business is going through an exciting period of change and the litigation area is growing internally, and this is a great opportunity to help form and shape this growing team.

This position is both strategic and operational in focus, meaning you will be required to:

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Support a team of paralegals/specialists
  • Run your own case-load
  • Support the Head of Disputes with more complex cases

Disputes range from legacy current day disputes with customers relating to contractual, debt, and regulatory issues. The disputes can often be high value, complex in nature with complex settlement arrangements and in-person negotiations.

If you are a lawyer who enjoys working closely with clients and undertaking a varied role where no day is the same, then this could be the position for you! We are looking for a disputes lawyer with solid experience who would enjoy partnering with the business and developing relationships and an internal team.

Key Requirements:

  • Litigation lawyer
  • Approximately 2 - 5 years PQE (or equivalent) gained in private practice or in-house
