An exciting opportunity has arisen for a lawyer (2-5 PQE) to join the legal team of a leading financial services organisation, supporting its private banking and wealth management business.
This role would suit a lawyer with experience gained either in private practice or in-house who is looking to broaden their commercial exposure while advising on a wide range of wealth management and retail investment matters. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, supporting strategic projects, advising on legal and regulatory issues.
The Opportunity
As Legal Counsel, you will provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice across a diverse range of matters, including:
- Advising on wealth management and retail investment products and services
- Supporting strategic business initiatives, transformation projects and growth plans
- Working closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk and Governance teams to manage legal and regulatory risk
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial documentation
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business

About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
- 2-5 years' post-qualification experience
- Experience within wealth management, asset management or retail investments, gained either in private practice or in-house
- A strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing financial services
- Excellent commercial judgement and the ability to deliver practical, business-focused legal advice
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience advising on retail investment funds would be advantageous but is not essential
