Description

Come make history and join Amazon's Legal Department by supporting global trade matters, spanning customs and import compliance, tariffs, export controls, and sanctions, in service of our global business! This role will lead all Europe, Middle East and Africa global trade matters and

Basic Qualifications

  • License to practice law in Europe, US or other common law jurisdiction
  • Experience working independently and directly with all levels of legal and business partners or equivalent
  • Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation
  • Qualified Lawyer with 5+ years post-qualification legal experience
  • Knowledge of international trade laws, including import, customs, export controls, or sanctions
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills with ability to summarize regulatory impacts
  • Ability to provide practical legal guidance in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in German
  • Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
