Legal Counsel – IP & Brand Protection
Job Overview
Act as the legal representative for PAX (Hayati®), partnering with UK law firms and internal teams to conduct anti-counterfeiting operations. Provide legal support for various business scenarios and ensure full legal compliance for the company’s UK operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage UK/EU IP compliance, including trademark/copyright/infringement assessments and enforcement.
- Serve as the company’s in-house legal representative, leading brand protection practices.
- Collaborate with external UK law firms and internal teams to coordinate:
- Anti-counterfeiting enforcement actions
- Evidence collection
- Cease and desist letters
- Platform takedowns
- Domain dispute resolution
- Infringement dispute settlements
- Handle UK civil litigation, arbitration, court advocacy, and local legal liaison.
- Develop and execute assertive legal strategies for high-stakes infringement cases.
- Monitor UK/EU legal and regulatory updates, engaging with authorities and e-commerce platforms.
- Identify and mitigate compliance risks, delivering professional legal advice for UK operations.
- Maintain ongoing stakeholder relationships with external law firms and business partners.

Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of the UK legal system and business practices, with an established local network.
- Eligibility to work full-time in the UK.
- Qualified Solicitor of England and Wales with 3+ years PQE, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Higher Courts Civil Advocacy qualification.
- Expertise in:
- UK/EU commercial law
- IP law and civil procedure
- Anti-counterfeiting enforcement
- Formal IP law academic background (a plus).
- Experience in commercial dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration, including:
- Brand protection
- Anti-counterfeiting enforcement (preferred).
- Preferred: Experience in consumer electronics/cross-border e-commerce.
- Strong ability to execute assertive yet legally sound enforcement across complex infringement cases.
- Proficient in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, as well as managing routine legal documentation.
