About this role
Are you ready to shape the future of global food delivery tech? As a Legal Counsel for Product, you will be a trusted partner to our innovative tech and product development teams. In this role, you will:
- Lead by driving legal excellence from concept to launch.
- Deliver by collaborating cross-functionally on new and developing product features.
- Care by safeguarding customer trust.
You will serve as the strategic legal anchor guiding global consumer-facing platforms and providing embedded legal support.
Location: London, UK (Hybrid)
Reporting to: Senior Legal Counsel - Consumer
These are some of the key components to the position:
- Lead the comprehensive legal review of new product features and user journeys to ensure global alignment.
- Deliver clear, risk-managed guidance to engineering and product management teams through all stages of development.
- Actively advise on legal and regulatory issues affecting online platforms, including consumer protection and digital policies.
- Manage engagement with external bodies including regulators, legislators and consumer bodies on behalf of JET.
- Partner closely with privacy and other specialists to integrate compliance into the product design lifecycle.
- Draft and review customer-facing communications, platform disclosures and user terms.
- Care for our community by building Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered legal frameworks, tools and playbooks that protect the business while enabling teams to move faster and with confidence.

What will you bring to the team?
- Proven legal advisory capability in tech-led, digital marketplace, or consumer-facing online platform environments.
- Strong understanding of consumer protection law, digital regulation and consumer-facing product risk.
- Exceptional communication skills with a track record of translating complex legal requirements into practical and pragmatic advice for non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong collaborative mindset with an innate ability to connect dots and partner with stakeholders across diverse legal, compliance, engineering and product organizations.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset focused on advancing business objectives while successfully managing regulatory risks.
- Experience building relationships with regulators and other external bodies to achieve business goals and minimise risk.
- Legally qualified to practice law in the United Kingdom or relevant European jurisdiction.
