Legal Counsel (Sales)
Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel (Sales) to join our Legal Department and provide dedicated legal support to our Sales & Commercial teams. Reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, with a dotted-line relationship to the Vice President Sales, you will play a key role in supporting the Company’s commercial objectives while ensuring legal risks are effectively identified, managed, and mitigated. This is a great opportunity for a proactive legal professional who enjoys working closely with others in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including power purchase agreements, electricity supply agreements, and related ancillary contracts.
- Working collaboratively with the Sales & Commercial teams to deliver pragmatic legal advice, develop and maintain standard contract templates, manage relationships with external legal advisers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes and governance frameworks.
- Supporting cross-functional projects.
- Helping drive legal best practice across the business.
- Contributing to the development and training of colleagues on key contractual and legal risk matters.

Skills/Experience Required
- Qualified Solicitor NQ or PQE;
- Ability to identify critical business issues, to negotiate major contracts, to structure collaborative business enterprises, and to lead teams of internal executives and external professionals;
- Excellent writing and communications skills, the ability to negotiate and persuade, and a sound understanding of corporate and commercial law;
- Broad knowledge of contracting structures.
