About Intropic

Intropic is the market standard in index rebalance intelligence — a field growing rapidly as passive investing reshapes global markets, with passive holdings in the US now exceeding active. We are at an inflection point: new AI-enabled products are accelerating our growth and expanding our footprint across capital markets.

We operate at the frontier of a question that will define the next decade of the information economy: how critical data and IP is licensed, valued, and shared. Our work centres on distinguishing raw from derived information and structuring innovative agreements that unlock economic value for all parties. Joining Intropic means becoming an expert in this space early, at a company where it is core to the business rather than a side function.

Our structure is deliberately flat. You will work directly with the founders and the key people across the company from day one.

The Role

You will support Intropic and the General Counsel across negotiations and contracting on both sides of the business — our customers and our data suppliers. This is a commercially minded legal role, not a back-office one.

We run a modern, AI-augmented contracting operation. Robust playbooks and AI tooling handle the majority of agreements as business-as-usual, with the legal team focused on the edge cases: novel, high-risk, or strategically significant deals that don't fit the mould. When you resolve an edge case, you feed the learning back into the playbooks — so the system keeps getting better and your time keeps shifting toward the highest-impact work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will:

  • Negotiate and draft commercial agreements across the full range: order forms, master/framework agreements, data licensing agreements, and NDAs
  • Apply and develop negotiation techniques and economic principles to construct mutually beneficial deals
  • Build and refine contracting playbooks and template agreements using the latest AI tooling and platforms
  • Enable commercial and sales teams to self-serve on standard agreements by making the playbooks simple and robust
  • Represent Intropic externally — on calls, in writing, and face to face

Your pathway: You will start on the customer side, running our existing contracting playbooks to learn the business and its agreements inside out. As you automate and streamline that work, your focus shifts progressively toward the legal squad — troubleshooting complex negotiations and leading bespoke strategic deals alongside the General Counsel.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

It's a plus if you have:

  • An English law degree and/or qualification as a lawyer
  • A strong academic record
  • Evidence of entrepreneurial spirit
  • A long-term outlook — you're looking for a career, not a stepping stone, and you're motivated by the mission

You'd be a great fit if you have:

  • Experience in the legal or commercial team of an exchange, index provider, or financial data/analytics business
  • Exposure to data licensing arrangements, on the supplier side, the customer side, or ideally both
  • Alternatively, experience with commercial contracting at a SaaS or data-driven business

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary, discretionary bonus, and equity participation
  • Direct exposure to founders and senior leadership in a flat, low-bureaucracy organisation
  • A front-row seat in AI adoption in capital markets and legal operations

  • Real ownership: your playbooks, your deals, your impact on how the company contracts

Our Process

  • Introductory conversation
  • Application and CV review
  • Talent screen
  • Take-home case study
  • Technical interviews with our General Counsel, built around real case studies
