At ASOS, you're free to be your true self without judgement, and channel your creativity into a platform used by millions.

Job Description

As Legal Counsel, you’ll be a key point of contact for the business across a broad range of legal areas, which may include commercial, marketing and advertising, brand, sustainability, supply chain, property and AI. This role will give you the opportunity to assist the Head of Legal and Senior Legal Counsel across these diverse practice areas - but there will also be the opportunity to support on matters outside of these areas.

The role is critical in helping the wider ASOS Legal Team meet the needs and requirements of all elements of ASOS’ business across the globe, requiring the ability to give commercial as well as legal advice, often on cross-border matters, and to promptly identify risks and issues that need to be escalated within the company.

Prior experience in all of the above areas is not a requirement, but the role would suit someone who is hands-on and commercially minded, with a strong professional ethic, energy and interest to learn and pursue a broad array of commercial, legal and risk/reputation management matters.

Below are just some examples of the diverse work you will have the opportunity to work on:

Marketing and Advertising

  • Advising on advertising regulatory compliance, including ensuring marketing campaigns comply with ASA, CAP and consumer protection rules.
  • Supporting the business on influencer and talent agreements, including reviewing terms around content usage, exclusivity and image rights.
  • Advising on the use of AI in marketing and creative content, including AI-generated imagery.
  • Reviewing prize promotions, competitions and consumer-facing terms and conditions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
