Legal Counsel - Project Finance (3-Month Contract)
West London | Immediate Start
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Finance Lawyer (3–6 PQE) to join the legal team of a fast-growing international energy business on an initial 3-month contract, with potential for extension.
Working as part of a collaborative in-house legal team, you'll support the business on a broad range of project finance and financing transactions, partnering closely with commercial and business stakeholders on strategically important matters.
The Role
Key responsibilities are likely to include:
- Advising on project finance transactions and related financing arrangements.
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating finance documentation.
- Supporting commercial teams on the legal aspects of financing structures.
- Working closely with external counsel where required.
- Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders.
- Assisting with wider commercial legal matters as needed.

About You
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
- 3–7 years' PQE gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team.
- Strong experience in project finance, banking, or finance transactions.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- A pragmatic, business-oriented approach and the confidence to work directly with stakeholders.
- The ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
