Referment is partnering with an award-winning, high-growth legal business to appoint a Legal Director / Head of Commercial.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior commercial lawyer looking to combine high-quality legal work with leadership, business development and strategic responsibility.
Working with innovative technology companies, you'll become a trusted adviser to founders and executive teams whilst leading and growing a talented Commercial practice.
The Role
You'll lead a team of experienced commercial lawyers while maintaining your own portfolio of clients.
This is a leadership role with genuine influence across the business, combining legal excellence with commercial ownership and people management.
You'll play a key role in developing both the team and the firm's continued growth.

You'll Be Responsible For
- Leading and mentoring the Commercial team
- Managing key client relationships
- Advising on complex commercial contracts
- Supporting business development initiatives
- Driving team performance
- Recruiting and developing lawyers
- Acting as a senior technical adviser across the practice
We're Looking For
- Qualified lawyer (UK or equivalent overseas jurisdiction)
- Significant Commercial contracts experience
- Previous leadership or management experience
- Strong client relationship skills
- Business development capability
- Excellent communication skills
- An entrepreneurial mindset
