Legal Engineer Consultant
London, hybrid working (3 days a week in the office)
£45,000 - £55,000 + bonus & benefits
The Company
A leading global consulting group is seeking a Consultant to join its globally regarded legal engineering practice. This is an opportunity for a legal or consulting professional with experience in transformation, technology or legal operations, who is motivated by purpose-led work and shaping the future of legal services.
The role works closely with law firms and in-house legal teams, helping redesign how legal services are delivered, improving efficiency and supporting the responsible adoption of GenAI.
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Engineer Consultant
- Deliver legal transformation projects – Play a key role in projects for law firms and in-house teams, focusing on process redesign and technology-enabled solutions. Take ownership of workstreams and contribute to measurable improvements in efficiency, cost and service quality.
- Support GenAI adoption – Contribute to GenAI and digital strategies by analysing client needs, identifying opportunities and supporting practical implementation approaches.
- Design and implement AI solutions – Support development and deployment of GenAI-enabled tools, including workflows, prompt design and testing. Ensure alignment with client requirements and quality standards.
- Project and stakeholder management – Manage day-to-day project activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining stakeholder communication. Track progress against timelines and support delivery within scope and budget.
- Contribute to client development – Build strong client relationships and support senior colleagues in identifying further opportunities. Contribute to proposals, thought leadership and internal capability development.

Skills & Attributes of the Legal Engineer Consultant
- Relevant professional experience – Experience in legal services, consulting, legal operations or a related field. A legal qualification or equivalent experience is beneficial, with a good understanding of legal processes.
- GenAI and technology awareness – Familiarity with GenAI, large language models and legal tech platforms, with some hands-on experience or exposure to implementation.
- Project delivery capability – Experience contributing to project delivery, with ability to manage workstreams, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Familiarity with agile or structured methodologies is advantageous.
- Stakeholder and communication skills – Able to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and build strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills – Strong ability to analyse data, understand processes and develop practical solutions. High attention to detail and a structured approach.
