Legal Entity & Securitisation Assistant Finance Manager (Fixed-Term Contract, 6 Months)


About the Role

Salary: £44,901 – £49,890 (Grade: £44,901 to £54,879) Location: Edinburgh Working Pattern: Hybrid – at least two days (40% of time) in the Edinburgh office, with flexibility for remote work. End Date: Thursday 16 July 2026 Urgency: CRITICAL – THIS IS AN IMMEDIATE(OPPORTUNITY)

The Legal Entity & Securitisation Assistant Finance Manager will join the Legal Entity and Securitisation team—a trusted partner supporting the business with month-end financial control, balance sheet substantiation, and statutory reporting. As part of Lloyds Banking Group’s ambitious Finance Transformation programme, this role offers an opportunity to leverage new tools and processes to optimise reporting while building on technical expertise and taking genuine ownership of key initiatives.

You’ll support strategic deliverables while working collaboratively in a dynamic team, with generous flexibility and growth opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare month-end financial controls, balance sheet substantiation, and produce statutory reports for Special Purpose Entities (SPEs) and other group entities, including:
    • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP).
    • Managing relationships with external auditors, including responding to queries, providing supporting evidence, and aligning with audit timelines.
    • Supporting board and governance deliverables, including control assessments (e.g., QAR, SOX-style controls).

Regulatory & Standardised Reporting

  • Develop and tag stastext iXBRL files for statutory accounts.
  • Prepare FINREP Form 40 disclosures, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Utilise new tooling and technologies in the Finance Transformation initiative to enhance processes and reduce manual workload.
  • Improve processes, systems, and procedures through continuous analysis and recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, ensuring high-quality deliverables while providing peer support and mentoring.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

  • A dedicated finance professional with a recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, etc.).

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of statutory reporting experience, preferably in financial services or complex entities (e.g., off-balance sheet, SPEs).
  • Exceptional organisation, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise tasks in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and a desire to contribute to business success.
  • Self-driven and quality-focused, with a passion for production under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, PowerPivot, or Power BI (desirable).
  • Familiarity with iXBRL or similar regulatory reporting formats preferred but not mandatory.
