Legal Expert Model Evaluation
Contract | Remote
Pay: $90/hour
Time Commitment: 10-20 hours per week
Role Snapshot
Evaluate and compare LLM-generated legal reasoning to help refine how frontier models approach case law, contracts, and regulation. Your professional judgment directly shapes model behavior and output quality.
Core Responsibilities
- Compare model-generated responses to legal prompts, determining which output demonstrates superior reasoning, accuracy, and client-readiness
- Analyze each model's reasoning process and provide clear, well-grounded written justifications for your evaluations
- Deliver structured feedback used by research teams to improve model performance on legal tasks
- Participate in onboarding and specialty calibration sessions to ensure evaluation consistency

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Holds a J.D., LL.B., LL.M., or equivalent law degree or equivalent professional legal experience
- Strong experience in legal practice or research across firm, in-house, government, or judiciary settings
- Strong experience in legal research and writing, including case-law analysis and statutory interpretation
- Strong written communication skills with a high degree of precision and attention to detail
