Job Description

Legal IT Trainer

12-month fixed term contract

Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham

We are recruiting a Legal IT Trainer (Know internally as a Digital Skills Coach) on an initial 12-month fixed term contract, to work with our team in designing and delivering both instructor-led training and on-demand digital content, working in a highly competent and dynamic Digital Skills Team consisting of 7 Digital Skills Coaches based in the UK offices.

As the firm derives increasing value from technology, our Digital Skills Team are committed to identifying new and innovative ways to improve user skills and the learning experience, boost adoption and drive business value.

This will ideally be based out of our Manchester office however we would consider Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh or Birmingham. If you are not based in Manchester there will be an expectation of traveling to Manchester at least 3 times per month.

Our standard working hours are 35 hours a week Monday to Friday, and we operate a 3 days in the office, 2 days from home working model, however as an inclusive employer, we are willing to consider any flexible working requests.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible to help deliver some out of hour's sessions to support our international offices and be willing to undertake some UK wide or international travel.

Candidate Overview

We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:

Extensive experience of delivering instructor led, hands-on training and presentations to large audiences; both in person and remotely, with an engaging and authentic training style and the ability to understand workplace requirements. Experience within a legal services provider or similar professional services / partnership style environment would be hugely advantageous. Able to plan and develop course content, training materials and supporting resources for software applications, mobile devices, and workplace technologies. Experience and a proven track record in design and content creation such as training videos and interactive eLearning using video and eLearning creation tools (eg Camtasia or similar; Articulate or similar, Canva, Murf AI). Ability to upskilling staff in an evergreen environment of fast paced change on areas including but not limited to: MS Windows 11, M365 suite and associated apps to an advanced level, Document Management Systems, remote and mobile working including using iPhones, tablet devices and AVD, Meeting room audio visual/video conferencing technologies and Cloud and SaaS based technologies. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, highly organised and supportive team member with the ability to work autonomously and to produce innovative ideas. Experienced in juggling multiple workstreams and able to prioritise conflicting requirements.
